They're both external programs that sit in the background.The only difference with Vivox is that it has some "phone booths" in Second Life. You could do the same with skype if you really wanted to. It's not a revolution, it's a half assed service packaged in a novel way.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;If they want to beat Skype for me, it's going to have to match Skpe feature for feature and then give me that little bit more. I was able to connect pretty quickly and the quality of phone call I made was better than my cell phone. The triggers from SL were great and I definitely see how cool it would be fully integrated. My friend almost freaked when I told her I was calling her from within Second Life!
